Sioux Falls Plumbing Pros

How it works

One request. One independent local plumber. No runaround.

Sioux Falls Plumbing Pros is a referral service. We write the guides, you tell us what is wrong, and an independent Sioux Falls-area plumbing contractor that does that kind of work contacts you to quote it. Here is exactly what happens, what we do, and what we don't.

The six steps

  • 1. You stop the water, if it is running The homepage timeline covers the first fifteen minutes: main shutoff, electrical, gas smell, photos. Do that before anything else.
  • 2. You read the page that fits What the job usually costs, whether it needs a City permit, how to check a plumber's South Dakota license. Answered with sources and dates before anyone contacts you.
  • 3. You describe the problem What is happening, since when, where the water is, the age of a water heater, photos, and your ZIP code. That is enough for most jobs to be priced.
  • 4. We pass it to one independent plumber An independent Sioux Falls-area plumbing contractor that does that kind of work in your part of the area receives your request.
  • 5. The plumber contacts you and quotes it They ask their own questions, look at the problem and price it in writing. The quote, the permit and the work are between you and them.
  • 6. You decide No obligation to hire anyone, and you are free to get other quotes. We tell you to.

What we do

  • Match by area and job type Once matching opens, requests will be routed by community (Sioux Falls, Brandon, Harrisburg, Tea, Hartford, Dell Rapids, Crooks) and by the kind of work: emergency, drain or sewer, water heater, frozen pipe, general repair.
  • Publish dated cost ranges Every dollar figure on the site comes from one dated source list, so the numbers agree from page to page and say where they came from.
  • Cite the actual rules Permit and license statements quote the City of Sioux Falls Plumbing Homeowner's Guide, the City's own FAQs, the State Plumbing Commission or South Dakota Codified Law, with the date we read them.

What we don't do

  • Do plumbing We don't repair, replace or install anything. We don't employ plumbers. We are not a plumbing contractor.
  • Quote jobs Only the plumber who looks at the problem can price it. Our ranges are for judging their number, not replacing it.
  • Guarantee a plumber We don't verify a plumber's license or insurance for you, and we say so. The license-check page shows how to do it yourself in five minutes.

Why the guides come first

A plumbing quote is hard to judge in the middle of a leak, so the cost guide, the permit rules, the license check and the frozen-pipes page exist to answer the questions before the quote, from primary sources, with dates. A homeowner who has read them gets a better quote from any plumber, including the one we send. Our about page describes how the information is sourced.

Who the plumbers will be

Matching is not open yet. When it opens, requests will go to independent, locally operated plumbing businesses that work under their own name, license, insurance and pricing. Before you hire anyone, matched through us or not: check the state and City license lists, get the certificate of insurance, and get the scope in writing. The how-to-choose page explains what to ask and names eight real Sioux Falls companies and what each says it does.

Matching questions

What does it cost me to be matched?

Nothing. There is no fee to you at any point, and no obligation to hire the plumber you are matched with.

How does Sioux Falls Plumbing Pros make money?

Once matching opens, the independent plumbing contractors we refer homeowners to will pay for the referrals. That is the whole business model. It does not change what you pay them, and it is why every page tells you to get other quotes and to check the license and insurance before hiring anyone, including anyone we send.

Will I be contacted by several companies?

No. Once matching opens, one request will go to one plumber; if that plumber cannot take the job, the request goes to the next one and you are told.

Where is the request form and phone number?

Not open yet. The site launched with its guides first; the request form and a local phone line open after launch, and the contact page says what to have ready. Until then, the pages here are built to get you to the right answer and the right kind of plumber on your own.

Is the plumber you match me with licensed?

South Dakota requires a State Plumbing Commission license for plumbing work on a home connected to public water or sewer, and the City of Sioux Falls requires its own plumber contractor license, so the honest answer is: check both lists and ask for the insurance certificate. The license-check page shows exactly where to look.
